Robert Downey Jr

Less than a week till I see Iron Man and I'm trying to manage my expectations because hype and excitement are so often the root of all disappointment. Posters for the film have been all over the London tube network for a while now, while the press machine is in overdrive. Of the several Robert Downey profiles I've read, this is perhaps the best, from the NY Times' David Carr.

Between this and Tropic Thunder, this is looking like the year Downey Jr finally strikes it big.

And don't worry - I'm stupidly excited for this as well! Cannot. Flippin'. Wait.

Short comment before getting back to school stuff: I can't wait either! Although I'm scared and excited at the same time. Luckily it premieres here on May 1st already.

Excited is good. Glad to see it's not just me...

It's released in France 30th April-movies come out on Wednesdays here. I'm praying the cinemas in Nice get an 'version originale'. It seems only on the Champs Elysées can u have the choice of English or French versions of English language movies. On the Riviera most blockbusters are screened as dubbed versions in French. I don't mind watching a film in French but often it's the actors voices that are most important-such as LEATHERHEADS.
RATATOUILLE was actually better in its French incarnation I feel. Unsurprisingly more authentic.

'Je suis IRONMAN' just ain't the same!
