On the right, the Japanese edition of my Sweeney book. On the left, a mini 36-page version that will be packaged inside the Sweeney Todd DVD release on sale April 1.

Very cool!

You know, I bought your Corpse Bride book the morning it became available, but also rushed out and purchased the version of the DVD which came packaged with a similarly truncated version of it too.

Something tells me I'll wind up doing the same thing with Sweeney...

April 1st. Crazy. I can have it in my house in like six weeks.

I love it. I only wrote the book I didn't know they did a mini version of the Corpse Bride book to go with the DVD. I think I'm going to have to speak to the publishers about that. They can send me the Italian version which I saw in Venice last year while they're at it.

Well if it helps, it was a deluxe slipcase version exlcusive to the JB Hi-Fi retail outlet.

I'm looking at my copy right now...

I don't think this is going to come to Spain... Well, I have the book already so this doesn't bother me ^_^. There's not even a Spanish version of the book here (neither the Coprse Bride one). God bless Amazon...

I'll be expecting news from the DVD release, I'm just updating my old Tim Burton spanish site, and new informations will be welcome :).

See you!

Congrats on the Japanese edition Mark, I'm looking forward to the mini version as well on the 1st April!

Completely off topic, but we finally got 4 Months, 3 Weeks...did y'all discuss it and I missed it?

Alas no. I've yet to see it. It's one of those films which fell through the cracks of my viewing last year.

Oh pooh! If you get a chance to see it, I'll be right here wanting to talk about it. We finally got it here in Texas and I was so moved by it and so confused as to why is was ignored for the awards.

From what I understand, its lack of recognition at the Oscars (where it didn't even score a nomination!) has had a seismic affect in how films in that category will be henceforth be voted for.

Thanks Mark for sharing that. I am still hacked over the snub for Lust, Caution too.
