So. I was watching the post-Cannes cut of
Inglourious Basterds last night, followed by a Q&A with Quentin Tarantino, when the
Alice teaser leaked onto the net ahead of its Facebook premiere, and by the time I'd heard about it, it had been pulled. Oh well...
Update: Apparently the trailer's
here. Not that I can access it. Maybe it's a UK thing.

What's the runtime on the post-Cannes cut?
Longer than it needs to be, if I'm honest.
Can't be more specific than that, though. Didn't have a watch and they didn't supply notes.
I'm seeing it here at the MIFF and the runtime is listed as 152 minutes, which I think may have been how long it ran at Cannes, which will be an interesting point of comparison when the theatrical cut drops in a month.
So I'm guessing it didn't knock you off your seat, but did you enjoy?
No, I liked it. The dialogue's great. The performances by and large are great. And there are moments of brilliance throughout. The opening sequence, in particular, is stunning, as is the scene in the basement bar, I just wish it wasn't so damn long. Personally, I think it could have been trimmed more and it would be a better film for it. I'd have liked more Basterds though. They're hardly in it.
But it's so much better than Deathproof...
I'm very glad to hear all of the above. Tarantino's in town to introduce the Aus premiere I'm attending at the MIFF on August 2nd. Pretty excited, I must confess.
He's a great talker.
