this only further asserts JJ Abrams'genius. before Pegg... there was only a 50% chance that i'd see it as i'm not a star trek fan but very much a JJ fan. but NOW i can't miss it! Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz are amazing films and from what we saw in M:I3, JJ knows how to direct him. (let's just forget about 2006's "Big Nothing", shall we? it's better that way.)this was an awful long post for such a seemingly simple blog entry.i over complicate everything.
I haven't liked anything Star Trek since Wrath Of Khan but with JJ at the helm I was always going to see this.Pegg's had the number one movie in the UK for several weeks now, a little number called Run, Fatboy, Run which I can't bring myself to see cos I hate the title so much, but I am looking forward to his next, How To Lose Friends And Alienate People, which is based on the Toby Young memoir about his time at Vanity Fair, starring the Dude himself, Jeff Bridges, as the Graydon Carteresque editor, and Kirsten Dunst.
