In case you missed it, here's my cover story for the Telegraph Magazine which ran on Saturday. It was a set visit to Alice In Wonderland...

Welcome back!

Really looking forward to Alice. I've entered every possible online competition to try and make it to the premiere, but I've also managed to book my Imax tickets as a back up!

What's your take on the backlash over the DVD's 12 week turnaround? I was shocked to see an Alice poster stating 'Coming soon to DVD & Blu-Ray' two weeks ago in my local Sainsburys! Then I read about Disney's trouble with Up's release, and how the cinema threatened to pull 'A Christmas Carol' due to their intentions to released Up on DVD for Christmas! Never really thought about these issues...

What can I say, it's business, business business. It's not the first time it's happened and it won't be the last as the studios and the distributors duke it out. It's just a shame that Alice is the one on the block. But then again, you play your strongest card...

By distributors, I mean the cinema chains...

BREAKING NEWS...

Tim Burton's new film version of Alice in Wonderland will not be screened at Odeon cinemas in the UK, Ireland and Italy, the cinema chain has confirmed.

The move is in response to the Disney studio's plan to reduce its theatrical "window" from 17 to 12 weeks.

Disney said the plan, which would allow it to release the film on DVD at the end of May, was an isolated one-off.

But Odeon claimed it would "set a new benchmark, leading to a 12-week window becoming rapidly standard".

Will Prince Charles have to find a new venue for the premiere???
