Film festivals are the only places where it doesn't even have to be sunny! If you see that it rains, you can just say "who cares, i'll be all day long in a movie theatre"!
Here it's very sunny and very hot and after the summer we've had in the UK that's most definitely a bonus. Having said that, I've spent most of my time inside a cinema since I've been here
