The Brothers Bloom

I watched Rian Johnson's Brick again the other night. I loved it when I first saw it and loved it even more second time around. What a debut. As such, I've been eagerly awaiting his second film, The Brothers Bloom, which I very nearly went on the set off, but it never happened. The film's playing in Toronto and opens in the US in October. Hopefully a UK release won't be too far behind. The trailer looks like fun.

I LOVE Brick. And, funnily enough, I'd paid no attention whatsoever to The Brothers Bloom as it's not a very exciting title, and only found out a fortnight ago it was made by him. Watched the trailer, now I'm keen as guts.

I thought BRICK was a really interesting film... kinda MILLER'S CROSSING for teens... with a real David Lynch vibe thrown in for good measure. Very cool. I am eagerly looking forward to this one. It looks and sounds very idiosyncratic.

The trailer sounds promising indeed! Story and cast seem to work very well!
And, to wait, i'll try to find and see Brick!

Love BRICK. Need to see more Joe Gordan-Levitt. He's 100x better than his doppleganger Shia LeBoof or whatever the guy's name is. Without giving anything away (as i am accustom to doing)the scene with "the pin" in the kitchen is one of my favorite movie moments.

Brothers Bloom looks great. looking forward to a funny heist/con movie.

If you wanna see a really good film with Joseph Gordon-Levitt in it, check out THE LOOKOUT, a twisty neo-noir written and directed by Scott Frank (he adapted Elmore Leonard's OUT OF SIGHT into that fantastic Soderbergh film version). Levitt is incredible in this film.

Love The Lookkout.

Levitt is the next Johnny Depp.
