The opening credits of FIGHT CLUB are amazing... starting off in the brain and pulling alllllll the way back to the barrel of a gun.For the more slow burn, atmospheric effect, I always loved the opening credits of BLUE VELVET, elegant credits playing over a sea of velvet. It really helps establish the mood of the film.
Both great choices I have to say.
I finally went out and caught Zombieland yesterday. Fun, energetic opening titles there, and a little stylistically similar to the ultra slo-mo tableaus of Watchmen's. Speaking of, I'm struggling to think of a better set of opening credits I've seen this year. Coraline's were pretty great, too, now I think of it - simple and spooky.
