maybe it was just me... but i couldn't make it all the way through "a mighty heart". i just couldn't. i spent half the movie waiting for something to happen and trying to keep up with the flashbacks and political diatribe. why did this movie get such critical acclaim? because it was based on a true story?
oh, and welcome back. no matter what anyone else says, i was NOT here everyday looking for updates since your gizmo christmas post...

You've surely got your hands full...or rather your eyes & ears.
By the way, I've finished your book on Sweeney. It's a beautiful edition, comprehensive and informative. Congratulations and thank you.
Now, I mean this in the nicest possible way, but I hate you. Can I have your job? :D
I'm keen to hear your thoughts on The Kite Runner, Things We Lost in the Fire and Grace is Gone, too... none have opened here as yet.

I just rewatched A Mighty Heart and found it even more affecting. In fact, feel quite shaken...
Wish now I'd included it in my top dozen rather than just bubbling under...
