Trailer: Never Let Me Go

I was on set of this a couple of times, and I've read both book and script. Believe me when I say this is going to be something special.

Looking good, but what a lousy trailer. Max faith in the film though.

It's very spoilerific, I have to say.

Have you read the book?

Loved the book. Which is why I was agog at the amount of narrative information that's flippantly divulged in this trailer, considering how precisely Ishiguro revealed his hand in the source.

Last novel to educe tears from me, it was.

Agreed, it's an extremely powerful and precise piece of writing.

Trailers are always tricky. And I'm wondering: if you haven't read the book, how much those "spoilers" will hit home? Hard to say...

I know. I was wondering exactly that the split second after I found myself reeling forward in my seat to ask of my screen: "You've put THAT in the trailer?!" Still think it's too chock full of big notes, regardless of whether or not they register as spoilers. Something subtler and more reliant on mystery would have been both more intriguing and representative of the tenor of the story, I feel.

I haven't read the book so I don't know what the main narrative strands of the story are. The trailer has really piqued my interest. Looks fascinating.

The book's brilliant Tim. I'd recommend giving it a go. I don't think it'll spoil your enjoyment of the movie.
