I'd only read really rather positive reviews before seeing it - is it being served?
Tech specs were indeed jaw-slackening, and it's always a kick to see Michael Sheen in go-for-broke pay cheque mode. Bridges, similarly, is always going to be good, but he had nada to work with. Wilde added much-needed spark, by way of both her charming turn and ZOMG good looks/haircut/bodysuit (seriously - wow). But the whole thing was just *so* stranglingly self-important, and the world so poorly defined, that I just wasn't into it. I have no affinity for the original Tron, so I don't know if that would have helped any. I'd love to see the Legacy bluray playing on a big ol' wall-mounted plasma during a house party, but that's about it. (Also: when old Bridges said "Hours in here is just minutes out there!," wouldn't that mean, according to to that internal logic, that he'd be giving Methuselah a run for his shekels, age-wise?)

This looks very, very fun.
I have to agree.
...Unlike Tron: Legacy, which I saw last night and plays like a College Humour parody of Christopher Nolan's Tron. And not at all in a good way.
It's not without its flaws, granted, but I don't get the vitriol being directed at it.
Beautifully designed and shot. Wonderfully immersive 3D. Olivia Wilde. Jeff Bridges...
