With my job, one doesn't always know what the day holds. This was yesterday, for instance. Three films: the first a fine, expertly crafted, well-acted human drama/sports movie; the second an extreme, sickening and very bloody horror thriller; the third a dated but fascinating biopic directed by Bob Fosse.

STAR 80 is an incredibly hard film to watch. Eric Roberts does an amazing job playing such a intense scumbag. Every time I watch this film I feel like I need to take a shower afterwards.

Inside has to be one of the most grueling viewing experiences ever. I'm a big horror fan. I see a lot of horror but I had trouble watching...
They do stuff with scissors in that film that will take you days to forget...
