Tony Gilroy

The New Yorker has a great interview with Tony Gilroy, writer-director of Michael Clayton and the forthcoming Duplicity.

Excellent interview/profile. I had no idea about the backstory to the Bourne films. Very interesting.

I have to say that the trailers for DUPLICITY haven't wowed me. The exchanges between Clive Owen and Julia Roberts look a little too smugly cutesy but who knows? Trailers are notoriously misleading and I'm certainly willing to give Gilroy the benefit of the doubt after the brilliance of MICHAEL CLAYTON.

I wasn't aware of the Bourne stuff either. Very interesting indeed.
